Leroveth

leroveth started out as a long stretch of wild and untamed lands between the elves and dwarves. very few adventurers would travel through this wild landscape. split into two major types of land, leroveth served as the home to the humans and more exotic creatures such as owlbears, gnolls, panthers, and the most feared hydra's. the last being the deadliest creature to inhabit this land. many beleive that the humans were first underground, hiding and trying to survive the wrath of the hydra's, not knowing how to build and cast magic humans had to rely purely on instinct to survive. eventually, with help from the dwarves, the humans began to build homes and clear out most of the deadly hydra nests. this feat took many human lives but the humans never backed down once they set their minds to taking this land for their own. most hydra's died but a few fled and some say they live like the humans used to, undergound and in hiding waiting to take back their home.

The elven incursion

the lands of leroveth have changed drastically over the past few hundred years. one of these major changes is the growth of the human race in this wild landscape. as the humans began to grow, the elves began to grow worried of the new race and tried to enslave them just as they had done to the gnomes. however the humans were much to wild for the elves to handle, having tasted the fear of being under another creatures rule, the humans were in no hurry to submit to another race and made it well known that they intended to stay free. right after the humans fought off the hydra's the elves swept in to take over, but quickly found that the humans were sturdier than they thought. two human clans quickly stood out in the battle over leroveth, the clan gaelanor and clan erbrook, these clans split leroveth and built two keeps. these keeps held off the elven forces from twirin in the west and the heralion mountains in the east, as they fought the elven invaders the castle, now known as kaer gaelanor, was hit the hardest. the clan leader at the time verdick gaelanor led the defense of kaer gaelanor, pushing back the elven forces with unending human troops atop massive horses, unfortunately the human calvary, known as the swift riders, could only defend against so much and were unable to protect verdick from the blades of the abby assassins. the death of verdick sparked a fury in his sons heart, balthazar the enraged was made that night, balthazar formed a small group of soldiers and launched an attack on the elven encampment in the heralion mountains. nothing could stop the grief stricken balthazar, elves trembled in fear under his blade and many elves perished. soon after he began his incursion of the elf encampment balthazar discovered that the dwarves were being held captive by elven magic and could not free themselves. once balthazar was made aware of this he immediately began working to free them. the elves, try as they might, could not stop balthazar from freeing the dwarves. thus began the human and dwarf rebellion sparking the end of elven rule.

castle Erbrook

  the castle to the west.
Erbrook was made to defend against the elven forces coming from twirin. although they did not get hit as hard as Kaer Gaelanor had they did have to defend against some of the more dangerous creatures the elves had to offer. dragons could be seen constantly circling the roofs of erbrook. soldiers fought night and day just keep the little homes they had from burning or being destroyed by the massive bodies of the dragons. the clan leader at the time sheila erbrook headed the anti dragon division of erbrook. she worked alng an escaped gnome slave known as hugin darrock to create everbreath, a concotion made to counter the dragon's hardy immune system, it could turn any dragon feeble. The hard part unforuneatly was trying to get it into the dragons body. their hide was too tough to peirce with any blade or arrow easily, and those who could never lived long, so Hugin and sheila formed a plan to poison the dragons nests and kill the dragons that way. thus the dragon expidition began, sheila left castle erbrook and went with hugion and a few other soldiers to brave the untamed and dangerous wilds to the south.
"The erbrook clan no longer exist but the castle they built still stands tall on the west border of leroveth. it continues to stand a beacon of what the humans can, and will, accomplish in this world." - the encyclopedia of everything written by Barg the golem

statue of helion

the humans believe in many gods and have several religion's but the most prominent is helion god of life and growth. the human worshipers of helion believe that life needs to be fre and allowed to grow in its own way. they spawned several sects throughout the lands of orion. adopting a very friendly and caring manner many clerics of this faith rarely resort to violence. however this does not mean they are weak, the clerics of helion believe life should be free and will fight furiously to keep it that way. in the middle of erbrook there is a statue of helion built by the humans who fought the elven slavers in the siliphate kingdom. the statue is regarded as the first depiction of helion and is worshiped by all who are of the helion belief.
"Although i worship no god, nor do i believe in them, the helion statue is one of the most beautiful creations on this planet. and yes i have seen the dwarven ale house. it takes a close second. " -the encyclopedia of everything written by Barg the golem
