The Akashic Web

Manifestation

The Akashic Web was established during Heaven's Fall with the descent of the Ten Black Spires. Due to the presence of the Black Spires the people were severed from the magic of the architorium. In addition Ordurant, the awakening Titan was not able to consume the life memories of the people, which forced him back into a dormant state. 
Instead of life memories being fend to Ordurant they instead flowed to the Black Spires and were used by the Sammarians to power their magic. This power flow structure had a web like appearance and thus was dubbed by the Sammarians as the Akashic Web.  Due to the cataclysmic nature of the Black Spire Descent the Sammarians were at the height of their power due to the amount of death and the amount of life memories they consumed. This quickly established them as the world power and their abilities were described as unworldly akin to godhood. 
After their conquest and the formation of their Dynasty they allied with Judicium in order to maintain their power structure because the flow of life memories would be diminished during this time of reconstruction. The Sammarians sought to reshape the land in the ideal form they wanted.  
However, the Sammarians failed to understand the full nature of what they were doing. When the Sammarians discovered that their homeworld, Idune was actually a Titan that would one day consume them they panicked and sought to prevent her awakening. They believe they succeeded because they converted her essence into the Ten Black Spires. What they failed to understand is that her essence awakened upon the Spires' descent onto Ordurant.
While the Sammarian were basking from their conquest of Ordurant, the Titan Idune siphoned a little bit of power at a time that she stored within herself. With this stored power she waited until an opportunity presented itself in the form of a potential vessel who was a slave in Judicium. Idune, using the power she stored, made a pact with this slave and empowered her, which lead to the successful slave rebellion. Seeing the Sammarians were vulnerable the world united and Judicium and the Dynasty fell.
Following the fall of the Sammarian Dynasty the Pretoria Empire replaced it and they seek to conquer the land where any Black Spires resides. They seek this in order to feed their goddess Idune and eventually awaken her onto this world.

Localization

The Akashic Web is the name of the collection process of life memories. 
As someone dies their memories would be consumed by the Titan Ordurant. Once Ordurant has received enough life memories he would awaken, consume all life on the surface of his planet and then set off to create his own world. This is the mission of every Titan.
The Akashic Web interfered in this process preventing Ordurant's full awakening and now it is being exploited by Idune in hopes of fulfilling her awakening. The Sammarians did not fully understand the consequences of their scheme and in enacting their plan they severed Ordurant into four pieces: 
Material Realm: The Dormant Realm of Ordurant. Contains the six nations of the Harkon Islands, Ravanna, Pretoria Empire, Fable Lands, Hazeal and Dartonia. 
Architorium: The Elemental and Fey Realms of Ordurant. It is ruled over by the Four Architects who once warred against each other for dominion over the Dormant Realm.  
The Awakened Realm: This is the realm connected to the material realm, but it is separated due to the interference from the Black Spires. Denizens of this realm seek to united this realm with the material realm in order to fully materialize Ordurant. Collectively this Realm is called Doldrum and it is called the Enlightened Empire.
The Dream Weave: The realm of memories. The spirits of the dead often transfer to this realm where they find rest. Manifestation of various gods often rule this realm however they are simply a reflection of whatever the dead spirit wishes to see before their consciousness meshes with a Titan.
While people can connect to the Architorium and Dream Weave via magical and divine study, the Awakened Realm and their emissaries seeks entry into the Material Plane in order to purify the taint of the Black Spires. Should they succeed Ordurant will fully awaken.
