Dark Elves
Children of Shadow
"We chose the darkness not out of weakness, but out of necessity. And in the shadows, we found a strength that others fear to understand."Dark Elves are the descendants of Elves who, during the Divine Wars, turned away from Sylvana and the path of balance to adopt dark magic. This choice, though born of a desire to protect their lands, irrevocably transformed them, condemning them to exile and a life in the shadows. Today, they live on the margins, often feared and rejected by other peoples.
Origin and Transformation
The Fall
During the Divine Wars, elves were placed on the front lines to defend the natural sanctuaries against the destructive forces caused by the battles of the Elemental Gods. Confronted with overwhelming power and the destruction of their sacred forests, some elves sought solutions outside of Sylvana’s teachings. They then turned to dark magic, a corrupted force but one that was devastatingly effective. This choice allowed them to temporarily resist the onslaught, but at a terrible cost: their magic, bodies, and minds were altered. Their skin turned as dark as night, their eyes took on glowing red or violet hues, and their affinity with nature was replaced by a deep connection to the shadows and dark energies of Nyssara.Exile
When the war finally ended, these elves were rejected by their kin. Considered traitors and abominations, they were banished from the forests and condemned to wander the desolate lands and deep caverns. This exile marked the beginning of their evolution into the "Dark Elves."Appearance and Distinctive Traits
Dark Elves possess an appearance that is both fascinating and intimidating, a mix of their elven heritage and the transformations brought about by dark magic.General Appearance

- Hair: Their hair, often pure white, silver, or deep black, contrasts with their skin and symbolizes the duality between their elven past and their dark present.
