Primolis

Primuxi is a city defined by its rich history and thousands of years of development. Having been the first settlement by the Archevoni humans, and being the holiest of religious sites for all followers of the Book of Law. Due to its infrastructure being thousands of years old, and only renovated since the last era, there are plenty of areas within the walls of the city where there is an extreme population density. Most of the lower class (farmers, laborers, commoners) being found outside, mainly tending to the fields and prepared to be drafted in defense of the city at the drop of a bag of Archevoni coin.

Demographics

Ethnicities: Archevoni Human 60%, Instrik Dwarves 15%, Tirra Elves 10%, Other 15%   Economic: 40% lower class, 30% middle class, 20% upper class, and 10% noble class. Much of the inner city is reserved for the privileged humans of Archevon, most having built their fortune through political maneuvering and lucrative trade. Much of the lower class consists of serfs, farmers, and general laborers. The middle class finds themselves being filled by skilled craftsmen, sponsored artists, and military captains. However, the diversity of the Primi begins to thin as one inspects the upper class, and moreso the noble class.

Government

Primuxi is a city that has experienced multiple cycles of evolving politics. From the dominance of the plutocratic nobles, oligarchy of the merchants, and the devious influence of the Four Fingered Fist. However, in the current age, the city of Primuxi is a pseudo-monarchy with a figurehead ruler wielding the title of Emperor of Man, with the clergy of the Book of Law administrating the city in its whole. Therefore, the city is a very lawful place, where all things have a law and a tax accompanying anything that isn't considered a Divine Right of Man, and because of this the rigidness of the city is almost palpable. With social status mobility being virtually impossible (without any form of clever political maneuvering), the poor stay poor and the rich stay rich, but all must pay their tithe to the Clergy who demands due to maintain the city of Primuxi as the Jewel of Archevon.

Defences

"A wall with nothing more than its girth to protect against invaders is as useful as a wool string used to lasso a bull." - Ramus Skorpas, Lieutenant Commander   Described as being tall enough so that a titan may rest their head upon it, the walls of Primuxi have their own infrastructure. The walls themselves have transports powered by both mana and steam, used for carrying soldiers (and paying residents) from every part of the city within a relatively impressive speed. Each tower on the wall is their own settlement, having all manner of people such as blacksmiths, cooks, barkeeps, clerics, and all of it is done to maintain a constant vigilance over the city. To most, the fact that the only way to enter the inner walls of the city is by boat can be tedious, but the fact that the religious sentiments of "never stepping into the city with unwashed feet" remains useful for shutting the city down from all invaders. However, there is a great gate reserved for trade convoys and military marches, as neither yak or weary soldier benefit from being forced onto a cramped ship.

Industry & Trade

Some of the finest wares come from Primuxi, many of the religious symbols being priceless by the faithful and a dragon-hoard worth to the less than pious. However, its main export has proven to be manpower, where the Clergy administrates the Heads of Finance, Military, and Labor respectively. It is said that even the poorest of man can lend their hand in building in the name of Primuxi, which conventionally postpones the demand for tithe, too.

Infrastructure

One of the most impressive technological advancements has been hydrodynamics, with a great dam being the source of all wonders found within the walls of the city. Because of this, one may find the city having fresh water and plumbing in even the most downtrodden taverns, fountains decorating virtually every plaza, and parks as vibrant as a forest grotto. However, some of the wealthier few afford the mechanical advancements to their homes, with flameless torches and smokeless furnaces warming their homes.

Assets

"No where else can you find a finer wine older than the tree-folk than in Lakehome!" - Mahrkos Soli   From ancient enchanted armor dating back to the Age of Enlightenment to blades forged in the Roaring Furnace, one cannot find anything like it outside of Primuxi. There are many stores with different origins, about 100 of them which all aspire to fill a different niche, and all of them claim to be older than the other. A sense of prestige and novelty in Primuxi is to have an older claim-to-fame. An example is a Dwarven Tavern named Hearthfire (Ur-Ziril in the Dwarven tongue) which they say is older than the walls of the city themselves.

Guilds and Factions

Emissaries of Mercor (Finance Faction), Diplomats of Bellus (Military Faction), Administrators of Illudam (Labor Faction), and amongst other smaller parties, are the main influences on the various moving cogs of the city. Some of the more prominent smaller guilds and parties happen to be subservient underneath the three major factions. The most prominent, but not necessarily tied to one name are, the Colleges of Bards, Smith's Coalition, Schools for Various Magical Arts, Academy of Warfare, and the Federation of Skilled Laborers.
