Foresters oversee extra-urban farmland and forestland.
In Commonwealth urban settlements, the Mayor runs things inside the walls, the forester manages the hinterland . Mayor and forester are nominally co-equals but hold no authority over the other's domain.
Addressed as "Forester [Name]."
In times of emergency, Foresters can appoint temporary "woodwards" (with the approval of the Council).
