Undermountain

During the time of the Elven Empire, the Undermountain was populated by dwarves who turned the cave system into their home. The gray granite was cut into massive halls, usually twenty feet wide. The areas were created by carving out a single rock. It should be noted that due to the magical properties of the area, it is impossible to teleport in and out of the Undermontain. The Lords Alliance turned the topmost layer of the Undermountain into what is now the Waterdeep sewers.

Beneath the city of Waterdeep lies a massive cave system that spans the entire city.

Drow elves and many different monsters call the Undermountain their home.

Natural Resources

Magical artifacts can be found in the Underdark, it is guessed that they are not naturally occurring, but came from either the Elves or Dwarves.
