Nor Glemflo

Nor Glemflo was the first king of the Halflings and Gnomes. He was famous for his search for a group of heroes he believed could establish order that he called the Champions. He was overthrown and a successful trade republic was formed in his place. To this day, millennia later, his followers still search for these heroes in an almost religious manner. They are the subject of much ridicule from their homeland, and little care is given to them anywhere else.
