Half-Orcs

To be half-orc is to be filled to the brim with rage and know it. Half-orcs have all the versatility and promise of any race and can adapt to almost any situation but their blood boils with that of the orc and they burn with an inner rage. To survive they must balance between rage and peace or be consumed by both.  

Half-Orc Traits

 

Age

Half-orcs mature a little faster than humans, reaching adulthood around age 14. They age noticeably faster and rarely live longer than 75 years.  

Size

Half-orcs are somewhat larger and bulkier than humans, and they range from 5 to well over 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium.  

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.  

Darkvision

Thanks to your orc blood, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.  

Menacing

You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill.  

Relentless Endurance

When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.  

Savage Attacks

When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit.  

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Orc. Orc is a harsh, grating language with hard consonants. It has no script of its own but is written in the Dwarvish script.

Personality

Half-orcs tend to have short tempers and extreme over reactions. Half-orcs are also wary of all people. They trust few and earning their trust is difficult. The blood of the orc causes an unquenchable rage in their veins but the blood of the human makes them adaptable to the situation so that they might overcome it and learn to control it for whatever end that might be.

Relations

Half-orcs generally disdain all but the family that raised them and even then relations may be tense. If raised by humans they tend to hold the relations of the realm of their origin but if raised by orcs they tend to despise everything and everyone. Half-orcs generally have decent relations with half-elves as they see in them a kindred spirit and a very difficult relationship with elves and dwarves who don't hold their orc blood against them but have difficulty getting past it.  

Alignment

Half-orcs hold no particular alignment tendencies towards good or evil but most are decidedly chaotic and have trouble with law and discipline due to their extreme tempers and blood fury.  

Half-orc Lands

Half-orcs have no land to call their own and generally tend to be isolated from the world around them. They try to live in the world and get by but that has many different forms. Half-orcs tend to settle in small human communities and stay out of the way. In larger cities half-orcs have an easier time blending in and many can find work as enforcers or bodyguards due to their great physical abilities.  

Religion

Half-orcs have no formal religion and many tend to worship the gods of the community they were raised in but eventually all half-orcs realize that part of them, that deep rage in their bloods, belongs to the god Feveron, father of the orcs.
