The Uswait Republic

If one was to ask, who is the most xenophobic of the continent's nations, most would begrudgingly answer, Uswait. With some of the strictest immigration policies, the republic tends to hide behind its shroud of isolationism except in the current state of affairs, with the country once again at war with the defiant Thoubar. The nation, though viewed as backwards, is not to be taken lightly as it has one of the largest standing armies to defend her borders from the vile "alien". Though they detest foreigners, they cannot deny the need to import resources, and those that pass inspections and layers of bureaucracy acquire access to one of the most untouched markets on the continent.
Not only does the country have the largest culturally homogeneous population, but also the largest percentage of humans. Early on in the country's history when it was still beset by the marauders, that still linger to this day as mercenaries, they took to prosecuting the other races they found in those bands of vagrants. Of most of the people in those bands were Tieflings and Lizardfolk, as when the "End" occurred these races were some of the first to be cast out. It is actually Thoubar's sizeable Tiefling population that Uswait has taken great pains to try and remove the nation from the map.
Now the country is once again at war with Thoubar, as its decades of buildup have finally flowed over, and war officially been declared. Curious to many, the Uswait Republic has enlisted the aid of The Dominion in the latest attempt to destroy Thoubar. With these actions, Zhlosna has cut all land access to Uswait as well as not allowing ships heading to Uswait to dock in her ports. Had it not been for centuries of autarkic policies, Uswait may very well have been crippled within the first year of the war. Now, with the die finally cast, many observers watch the "Great Southern War, Thoubarian War of Survival, etc." with great interest.
All are curious to see what the fate of the South, Southwestern portion of the continent.
