The Caiuseam Imperium

Of all the countries on Onith, The Imperium is arguably the largest, stretching from The Expanse of Marcilius, a large border with the central "dead zone", all the way to the south, center-south of the continent. With this vast expanse has come many of the nation's boons and hindrances. Only until recently, the road system would've been considered sub-par compared to others, and though her population is one of the largest, it is also very difficult for authorities to track across her expanse. Many of the issues with the nation, from its vast expanses, to the strength of the military in civilian life, eventually lead to the 6th century crisis, which lead to a civil war between three major factions. The outcome of the war, many say, has been mostly beneficial with the victory of Aquineas Icilius Minervalis, who sought to fix many of the problems that lead to the crisis.
Ever since the crisis the government has seen massive restructuring, with a proper succession line of the Emperor, dislocation of the military from civilian administration, and the fixing of the road system. With all the effective changes, quality of life has increased and the economy, originally an overstretched mess of debt, has become relatively stable with the domination of land trade from both Eisenberg and the Dwarven Keep. Currently, the nation's most recent achievement has been the domination of what is now her buffer between The Dominion. Especially lucrative for the nation has been the establishment of mercenary troops which they send to both the Buffer state (as per the treaty) and to anyone else who wants them. With the fighting the mercenaries see, they are some of the most experienced ones on the market, and act as a way to keep the nations around The Imperium in friendly standing.
Though the nation has yet to enter into a serious war with any of the larger nations on the continent, many are eager to see how The Imperium will react to the Great Southern War. So far it has kept involvement to a minimum, but recent incidents with Uswait and Dominion spies have led to continued worsening relations.
