Nuis

Nuis is a land and aquatic mammal similar to a seal they are grey in colour with white spots and large tusks. They often can be heard from beaches by their loud roars when they fight and signal claims over prey. Nuis are quite large but are fairly loved by humans and merfolk alike sometimes you will find a Nuis helping fishermen round up fish into their nets and they love to play with Merfolk younglings.

they live on land to sleep and reproduce but fish and eat sea creatures but are found on beaches rocks and in the ocean.

Behaviour

They chase down prey and catch it. they are generally good-natured creatures loving to play and swim next to fishing boats. They like to visit the merfolk kingdom. When they have disputes with each other they use their enormous tusks clashing loudly and violently.
