The main myth is that a changling is of fairy blood and is something that can change its form whenever it choose. Most cases of this myth surround children as changling is supposedly swapped with human babies shortly after birth, making the child add or not normal as it grows up it often gives parents excuses to get rid of their children. They are humanoid in appearace but evidently can change form so have magic abilities.
