For thousands of years various cultures have passed down wisdom of an all encompassing reality. It is known by many names such as Mana, Qi, Prana, Ki, The Force, Chukwu, Magic, and ESP. Its influence from one culture to the next affects the speed at which it develops and the values of the nation's people. With the perfection of quantum computing a new age of technology was born. Bringing with it new miraculous developments and leaving Quantum Mechanics as the major academically accepted universal power. With the aid of quantum powered artificial intelligences and their android counterparts interplanetary travel and colonization of the Sol System was well underway. However, the ability to compute at superluminal velocities gave the governments in control of that technology equal opportunity to seize power over the world. And so, once the technology was perfected, but before it could be widely reproduced to serve less powerful nations, a turf war began between the 5 most powerful nations. Now, great economic disparity and war torn lands have brought civilization to its knees. Most major cities were leveled and reclaimed by nature as much of the once thriving worlds were turned into a wasteland over disputes of race, religion, and resources by repeated extremist attacks on the rapidly evolving solar society. Deep within the ruins of Olorun, what was once a mega city, a researcher collects remnants of the war for study in an attempt to reverse engineer the technology. This is where our story begins.
