Druid Enclave: Twilight

One of the many circles of druids in Olora, the Twilight Enclave seeks out the erasure of undeath in the world. They believe that the boundary between life and death is a sacred part of the natural order, and oppose any forces that corrupt aspects of the cycle.

Structure

Like most circles, this one has a loose structure that is typically defined by its elders, with older members holding more power. All druids answer to the Grandmaster Druid of the world, who can call upon their powers as needed.

Public Agenda

The Circle of Twilight seeks to preserve the balance between life and death. They practice druidic magic that can manipulate this boundary, and seek to destroy any forces that may corrupt or disturb the natural order.   Though there are very few of these druids present, they form tight knit communities typically around areas of undeath or tainted by necromantic magic. They dedicate their lives to clensing these areas or at least limiting the influence the magics hold.   The circle is known for its Cleansing Ritual, a coming of age ceremony each of its members must go through to unlock their true druidic powers and prove their devotion to the clan. This involves finding a tainted creature and using magic in order to destroy the corrupting undeath within it. Due to this, druids from this circle are sometimes approached by kingdoms in order to help destroy the presence of undead.

History

The exact history of the Circle of Twilight is unknown, as it seems to be a splinter group that was born out of other druidic circles with similar ideals. Thoughall druid groups share a fellowship, most have different aspects of nature they attune with.   The largest group was established in the Gray Forest in order to tend to the spreading of a plague previously unleashed by Xolith the Darkhearted during the Age of Fire. They remain there to this day, even though the plague has been mostly eradicated.
