Old Ceriad

When Olruc Ceri promised them a new life, Under their own rules: they followed him through all manner of trial and adversary. When his promise became reality: they took his name upon them and promised him Immortality of Ideal. When he passed away, many honored the promise. The land was named Olrua; the people, Olrucians; the entire world, Ceriad, for in their promise they declared that all of sentient life would one day revere his name, and they planned to achieve it regardless of how many seasons; no matter how many generations. His descendants would reveal his prophecies as the gods permitted them to come, and they would all come to pass. Exactly as promised. But promises upheld by lies... are broken in nature.
