Favours Infused with Intention
In the world of Olaga Avanoa, gift giving is a sacred and infrequent practice.
Gifts are not given for specific holidays or celebrations, but given only when there is true thought, kindness and intention behind the items.
The type of gifts that sit with highest regards, are those that are created by the gift givers hands, mind, and/or soul. This may include art, things like weaving, paintings, carvings etc. or plants, animals or food raised and harvested, or songs written and performed by the gift giver for the receiver.
Secondary to these are gifts purchased or traded for, that made the gift giver think of the person to whom they’ll be giving the gift.
