The Capital of Dalania
The Capital of Dalania is the largest settlement in the territory, with walls of stone, and buildings made of old ships. It sits in the snow, the palace of the King of Dalania made from ancient longboats. For ages they have been sitting there, stark opponents to the cold, and they will be there long after we have passed.
Demographics
Dalania is predominantly human, but elves and dwarves can be easily found here too.
Government
Dalania is ruled by a king, of a line that is descended from the Viking lords of ages passed. The king is advised by a council of wise men, who each oversee something they are familiar with.
History
Dalania was founded when the Vikings settled down from their raids, and stayed there. They built their houses of their old boats, and they elected the strongest and wisest of them to rule. They in turn elected a council of wise men, to assist in ruling fairly, to protect this lonely settlement.
Architecture
The buildings are made of wood and stone. The wood is predominantly from their longboats, and they still have ornaments from their old raids hanging from trees and buildings.
Geography
Dalania sits upon a hill in the tundra, sitting on the rocky coast just before the peninsula.
