Ishra

Divine Domains

Ishra was the ancient goddess of fertility in the days of the Ishkari Empire. She was a goddess of the bounty of nature, and of growth, expansion and exploration. When she was killed by her children, the remaining seven greater deities of the Ishkari Pantheon, she became vengeful and cursed the lands with death. She is most often associated with the domains of Nature and Death.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The faithful of the Dead Mother embraced the symbol of an iron scythe with golden wheat.

Tenets of Faith

The faith of the Dead Mother was all but abandoned in the lands, leaving her worship in the hands of small circles of mystery cults that interpreted her mythos in wildly different manners. Her worshippers ranged from those devoted to the restoration of nature, which often involved druids, to the depraved death cults that produced grim curses on the living.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

In her active state, Ishra was a force of growth, expansion and life. She was a goddess wholly devoted to her mortal disciples, who in turn provided her with bountiful sacrifices, including the blood of the enemies that they conquered. In death, the goals and machinations of the Dead Mother is unknown.
