Adirilians
Describe the common symbols and color associations with a culture in your world.
The Adirilians of the Empire of Adiril are a very religious lot, and with that faith comes a common sense of symbolism among the culture. On the Adirilian Royal Flag, for example, the Adirilian Crest sits in the middle of a sky-blue field with two spears crossing behind the Crest. The Sky-blue color refers to the realm of their namesake God, Adir, who lives upon the clouds in the sky, and the spears represent his weapon of choice, a spear (which has also been adopted as the main weapon of the Adirilian's military).
The Crest itself has its own symbolic colors, purple twisted with dark blue. The dark blue is the color for the house of Shol, the Ruling Kings of Adiril, intertwined with purple, the color of the arcane and magic, portraying the alliance of the Kingdom of Adiril and the Mage Towers of Dramari and Ekira, whose headquarters, , resides in the Imperial capital of the same name.
Other Symbols common around Adirilians are Spear-shaped talismans, denoting faith to Adir and reverence for the Adirilian Empire; decorative shortswords, a calling back to the series of rebellions that initially created the Kingdom of Adiril, freeing them from the overseas Misoren Empire(the Shortsword rebellions white-gold clothing, another call to a distant age, as white and gold were the colors of the Misoren Empire before its fall.
