The Last Aeulans, the survivors of the fall of Aeulo, seek a new land.

The tremors that fractured the land of Aeulo took 17 days to destroy the land and its inhabitants. In those 17 days, Aeulans with ships gathered what little supplies they could, and took to the seas. Some were killed soon after embarking by tidal waves caused by the tremors ripping their ships apart. Other Aeulans were killed for their ships, which were commandeered by their murderers. Many, in their panic to flee from Aeulan land, sailed off in random directions and were never seen again.   One man, Oudellar, had the fortune of already being out to sea. His father had formerly been the general over what soon became one of Aeulo's four fractures, and was expected to lead it, however, after speaking out against the turmoil and ultimate calamity he foresaw, his younger brother murdered him and took his place.   Oudellar had escaped with his mother and younger brother and spent his youth in a small fishing community. Upon reaching adulthood, he assembled a fleet of ships manned by the youths of noble families still loyal to his father. He was en route to the capital to reclaim his rightful place from his treacherous uncle, when the calamity struck and the tremors fractured the ancient stone, marking the end of the Aeulan Age.   Oudellar and his men watched the capital slip beneath the waves. On the following morning, they moved to shore and attempted to help as many as possible during the tremors. By the 5th day, they sensed that this might be the end of the whole land, so they sailed home to pick up their wives and children. By the 16th day, the eve of the final day of Aeulo, the fleet had returned with their families to meet 3 miles off the shore where the capital now lay in the heart of the sea.   There was not much left of the land of Aeulo by that point, but the men stayed to watch the last portion of their homeland crumble into the sea. At this point, they gathered on Oudellar's flagship to discuss what they should do. Oudellar put forth a plan by which they survey the Great Ocean in search of land. The captains agreed, and the plan was set in motion three days following the fall of Aeulo. The expedition took 23 years before the great island was found.   Oudellar named the island after himself, and declared to his people that the Aeulan Age was over. Their lives would begin anew on the island of Odalla, and they, the last generation of the Aeulan Age, were now the first generation of the Odallan Age.
