Pedridas, second King of Odalla, reigned for 11 years.

The coronation of Pedridas marked the ending of a turmultuous time in Odallan history, following the death of Oudellar and the First Succession War. Pedridas addressed the people of the capital in a message the text of which is still known to this day.   In his first year, Pedridas set the treasury in order and appointed new counselors to replace those who followed after Rhydivern. He also appointed a counselor over the city of Tucharch, which had previously been held by Tocran, King Oudellar's murderer.   In the second year of Pedridas' reign, he ordered a series of construction projects to rebuild the cities devastated in the First Succession War. These projects lasted the rest of his reign.   During the sixth year of Pedridas' reign, there was a mild famine during the summer. Pedridas put the major cities on half-rations and ordered the Odallan navy to engage in fishing. He also ordered the construction of 3,000 new vessels for this purpose, which were afterward refitted into fighting ships, enlarging the Odallan navy.   The rest of Pedridas' reign is uneventful, as reigns of peace and prosperity so often are.   Pedridas was 70 years old when he began to reign. He died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 81.
