-A story to keep children home at night
The Jarleck is one of the myths, supposed to sleep in the depths of the Red sea. It's strenght and durability is incomparable, it's hunger for flesh is endless.

Description:

The jarleck is a 3meters tall skeleton with a skull and horns of a stag, it's teeth soaked in blood. It's torso is that of a human skeleton, filled to the brim with small fish bones and stuck sea plants, forming a wall of bones. It's limbs are also human-like, made of thick bones, with sharp claws at the end.
At night, Jarleck's eyes have red glare, giving away it's position. Sometimes blood drips from it's chest.

Biology:

Jarleck's biology is mostly a mystery. It's unknown if it has any needs to survive, how it lives or what motivates it to do what it does.
What is known it that the creature is slow, just enough to safely outrun it without much throuble. It is unknown if it is capable of running or not. It's body is so durable, it basically deflects all damage, even a direct shot from a balista, as if it was nothing. It's also strong enough to uproot a tree without much trouble and it's claws can literally shred steel armor and shields like paper.
The creature's glare, when the red light hits a person, is said to cause immense dread and sense of doom in the victim, effectively paralyzing it. Only the stongest wills can resist long enough to escape. There is no known way to harm, or defeat the beast, but perhaps another myht called master of the forge might have a way.
The Jarleck hunts mostly at night and seems to prefer blood moons, which is the only time it was seen throughout history. It walks through settlements, looking for prey. It seems to ignore houses with closed doors and covered windows, which block it's sight, but might hear the people when they make enough noise.
It makes sounds simillar to when a person is severely out of breath, combines with animalistic growls, which are quiet enough to only be noticed in a 3 meter radius.

Lore:

Jarleck's lore seems to be pretty limited. The myth is used in scary stories and legends, most of which consist of it walking out of the sea during blood moon and devouring the population of an entire settlement.
