OCEAN CYCLES

This section will be a source of information for the Universe of Ocean Cycles, a (thirty plus years and counting) role playing campaign run by Andrew Fraser, which will merge with the many and wondrous Realms of Guy Shimwell. The nature and particulars of the merging will be discovered and explained during the course of gameplay.     ____________________________________________________________________________________       A long time ago . . .     It was over three decades ago that I first began my campaign, and I take a certain amount of satisfaction in seeing it still active, even if on a much smaller scale. Over such time, one will inevitably see changes in how it is experienced, both from a DM’s perspective as well as a player’s. In the early days it was dice, and modules, and searching for any kind of picture that could be used to bring more color to the evening. Now, one can find almost too many images online, and spend far too much time uploading content to a virtual tabletop site.     Enjoyment for ‘our style’ of gaming has always remained consistent. There are always ups and downs. Sometimes taking things too seriously because we care too much, or being too frivolous toward work that has taken a great amount of time to prepare and execute. But overall, it has been fun times.     I’ve tried to catalogue the most significant events of my campaign which will be posted in the articles below, and to keep things chronologically in order to more easily understand the background for the current game.         Enjoy!
