Electric Nox

Ah yes, the Electric Nox. One of the oddest creatures within The Forest. It's theorized to be one of the first creatures to be affected by Silver as it has evolved far past any other cybernetic creature that we know of. It looks like some sort of small flying mammal with fangs, and it will drain you dry of your electricity. It is quick, stealthy, and will be incredibly harmful to you. It will drain your equipment that you need to survive in The Forest. Be careful.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Electric Nox looks like a metallic bat. It has two wings with razor sharp claws at the end of them, a small mouth with fang-like protrusions, and a small body. However, these are where the similarities end. The Electric Nox has a battery in place of where its stomach should be, and has wires connecting all over it to move the different parts it needs to move. Its fangs are incredibly sharp, able to easily bite through steel, and act as siphons of electrical energy.

I left a battery at the edge of The Forest one day, just to see what would happen. It had a thick steel shell and was pretty heavy. I come back the next day to look at it and there were holes everywhere, the electricity inside completely gone and the battery irreparable. Those creatures are fierce, whatever they are.

Genetics and Reproduction

How the Electric Nox reproduces is unknown to the peoples of Obscur, however, it does in fact reproduce. Electric Nox partake in a form of asexual reproduction that lets them take any excess electricity/matter that they have and transform it into a baby Electric Nox. These babies growth rate is very variable by how much spare matter they can collect and how much electricity they can consume. Most take anywhere between 3-20 years to grow from a baby Electric Nox to a full grown Electric Nox.

Ecology and Habitats

The Electric Nox can live anywhere, but choose to live in The Forest mainly due to the abundance of electricity lying around it. They suck the electricity from the trees of The Forest, the Cybernetic Bear, and anyone who decides to enter The Forest. Even though this is where they thrive the most, they can occasionally be found inside The Laboratories for similar reasons, although it's a lot rarer.

Domestication

Only one has attempted to tame the Electric Nox. A man who goes by the name of Napred. He managed to successfully capture 3 Electric Nox and tame them to do as he says. Normally he is an outcast to society, however, if someone infected with Silver appears he is a life saver, for if the Electric Nox can drain the nanites dry it will kill the abomination.
