After the water source was bestowed upon the Tenders, several of them made the treacherous pilgrimage back to Sa'darhut to proclaim the good fortune. As one might expect, the city was eager to reestablish trade with the rest of the continent. The Eyes on the Hills organized a relentless wave of crusades on the crater's inhabitants in an attempt to secure the region and ensure safe passage for the caravans traveling to present-day Mihlaj. Between the fearsome Sand Krakens, nomadic Gnoll tribes, and the environmental hazards, the casualties began to pile up. But still the Eyes persisted. Eventually, a path was forged to the site of the sudden oasis and a memorial was created in remembrance of those who fell to pave the way for a new age.
