Qymm, Entry 1

This place is strange. I expected no more than a small village of people like Rhya, and maybe they would remember her and say she hit her head and went missing and be glad to see her. Questions would be answered, or we would be finding nothing and going home. This place is only more questions. It is all silver and secretive. We have met a new acquaintance. A goliath called Mordecai. Bobbi and Kaiden seemed to find him agreeable enough, but Jacaries distrusts him. Maybe that is wise. I still hold doubts about the 'dragon'. Many people can work powerful magicks and illusions. These people all wear masks and have suspicions of outsiders. It is a good deterrent, or a tribute to ancient dragons maybe. I saw a mural on the wall of a great battlefield, with dragons and the great trees and all kinds of strange creatures. it is clearly of some importance. But I do not recall learning of such a battle in school. It is maybe a myth. I was pondering this as I repaired Rhya's throat, and then later in my room as I entered my trance. A vision came to me of this fight while I rested, except Rhya was there also. The red dragons spied us, and descended towards us. Their way of speaking was strange but I remember my language classes. They did not wish for us to "complete the ritual". As I awoke, the real Rhya was there also, and 'there' was in the common area. I do not understand how I got there. A creature attacked then, like a dark dragon from the old tales but it was shadowy, bizarre. It nearly killed us both. Had the others not woken, and come to our aid, I doubt I would be here recounting it. The creature brought up "nightmare and dream" again. This phrase is recurring now. But again I do not know the reference. We had some respite after this, though battle raged elsewhere. One of the Qymmorians spoke to Rhya of dreamlings and their dreamers who summon them. So that is what these people believe she is. A dreamling. I am pulled into this by magic I am certain has nothing to do with me. My lineage is too well accounted for, and my memories are with me still. Even so, these locals wish to experiment. They hope Rhya and I, apparently, can help. They seem to believe that their dragon is suffering from an assault of nightmares. I've never heard of such things as I am hearing here. Meanwhile, Bobbi continues to converse with her magic axe before every fight but this is apparently not a problem because it talks back and is sometimes in a good mood. We went to assist the silver people lead by Oloc, our guide. These fights are convincing me that the dragon is real. This one was bigger than the first we fought - huge, and well beyond our experience to handle. It was only with the combined efforts of ourselves and heroic Qymmorians that we prevailed - and it was Jace's hand that finally slew the beast. Both Bobbi and Magorash took enormous hits from the creature. They require immediate attention if they are to survive. I must now survey the damage.
