Tallowkin

All Tallowkin: Die if their wick is extinguished. When they eat, they convert biomass into tallow. The body is composed predominantly of tallow and a wick. They can sense heat, see anything the light of their flame touches, hear, and feel things by touch.   Talamin: Low intelligence yet sapient dwarf-sized people. Not malicious, but territorial and self-centered. As they die if their wick is extinguished, they wear lantern-like covers with masks to protect their wicks. Tend to camp out roads and harass or raid travelers.   Talabees: Talabeeses are large pack animals, roughly 15 feet long and 5 feet tall. They encase their flames in something resembling a skull, with two holes to vent hot air out at the sides. Their mouth is very similar to a dragon's. Though their teeth aren't the sharpest, they can grab and pull a victim into the beast's inner flame.   Talatour: Tending to be 100 feet tall, talatours resemble enormous candles at the size of a lighthouse. At their base, however,  are 8 legs and a toothed maw between them. Talatours tend to trample and consume trees, but will seek out carrion and more easily digested food sources if possible. The peak of a talatour feeds and enormous flame, strong enough to survive heavy winds and rain; still, if necessary, a talatour can have the flame cave into the tallow below it to act as a shield from the elements. When the flame is caved into the talatour, a large amount of tallow is melted around it yet not burned; if threatened, the talatour may open a hole in its side to spill molten tallow onto attackers.   Talpir: Talpirs appear similar to jellyfish. They float through the air similarly to a hot air balloon and have many waxy tendrils connecting their core to the balloon and acting as arms. As tallow would melt at the temperatures produced by their flames, talpirs have balloons created from light and/or adhesive materials around their environment, such as leaves, spider silk, sap, and occasionally cloth. Talpirs have a surprising amount of intellect, making up for their lackluster strength and durability, and like to make themselves aesthetically appealing. They also enjoy observing other sapient creatures that they encounter and, if they seem friendly, may interact with them.
