Heka

Magic. Spellcraft. The Mystic Arts.   Heka is the ancient Egyptian word for "magic." Heka is comprised of rituals, spells, conjurations, and incantations organized and created by one of the many minds of Kher-heb D’thau. Because the Goddess of Magic is insane and out of touch with her own actions, the rules and regulations she places upon witches and casters varies from person to person.   A person practicing heka usually makes their own grimoire to keep track of their spells, just in case the version of Kher-heb D'thau they know changes. When casting a spell by exerting the force of Kher-heb D'thau, their success is determined entirely upon the will of the Goddess. Spells can backfire horribly without warning. Anyone who tries to practice heka after falling out of favor with Kher-heb D'thau will quickly learn how dangerous it really is.
