Announcement Boards

Located in different places around Nuuk, announcement boards serve as a place to post information and requests as well as communicate with other citizens outside of the town hall meetings. The boards are located indoors so that the material information is posted on doesn't have to weather the snow or the rain or the sleet. People usually post messages using whatever is to hand - from scraps of cloth to plastic packaging - even leaves can be used in a pinch.

There are currently three boards in use - located in the town hall, medical center, and barracks. On a given day there are usually anything from twenty to fifty different postings to look through. The recent influx of targeted messages being used for petty arguments and public shaming as lead the township to seriously consider monitoring the boards, though logistically they don't have the manpower required for a 24/7 surveillance.

Residents of Nuuk post anything and everything there - resource requests, jobs needing to be done, philosophical rhetoric, hopeful questions directed at the scientists asking for updates about their work, pointed questions directed at the scientists demanding results, etc. etc.

Rarity

The boards are relatively easy to make, though the township has regulated the creation of new boards out of fear that information will get lost if there are too many.
