The Connection

Connected, even the weak has the power to rule over the gods.

The Connection or "Interconnected Networks" is an artifact and a system of magic created by the fifth precursor. It's power and scope span the entire planar connection with tendrils far within "The Void" and "The Abyss". Currently in ruins, the only known records of The Connection is through a set of manuscript written by Raden Ki Mansi called "Marvels of the forgotten system".
Under The Collector standard, The Connection is the biggest and strongest artifact that ever existed now and forever. The entire scope of The Connection is only challenged by the power of the first precursor.

History

Created by the fifth precursor, The Connection is an interconnected system of magic that allows anyone and anything to create magic-like effect within it's area of influence. The Connection starts out as an experiment by the council of the biggest city during the fifth precursor era as a way to allow easier manipulation of magic between researchers.

Structure

An unorthodox system, The Connection is a collection of artifacts known as a Cypher. Through the network of different cypher did The Connection gains its name. While weak all by itself, The Connection are able to pool both power and knowledge from any cypher it is connected with and then distribute it according to the needs of the user. A collection of cypher is called an Uplink and a collection of uplink is called a Network.

Capabilities

Once an artifact that governs the world, the known limitation of The Connection is impossible to calculate even for the gods. A cypher can range from a simple device that create light to a magic apparatus capable of resurrection. The power depends on the kind of cypher, the other cypher within its uplink, and the network in which it resides.
