Northern Caeris

Northern Caeris is a failed expansion district of Caeris. The city attempted to attract wealthy investors and businesses into living in the city by offering services like running water, mail deliveries and local entertainment and markets. It was postponed indefinitely due to mismanagement and incorrect budgeting, leaving it mostly abandoned.

History

Northern Caeris represents a past attempt to expand the city and attract capable investors to settle in the city. Among services like running water and mail deliveries, the settlers also received tax exemptions and large subsidization for housing. The ambitious project ran out of budget and was never completed, along with the outer wall that was promised. Most of the settlers have moved back or onward by now, leaving abandoned mansions and estates that located just too far from the city center's high society and too expansive to maintain. The few who houses still owned here are usually in the ownership of wealthy foreign merchants and businessmen who keep them mostly for tax reasons.
