The Main focus of the world, Jade is the empress of the main focus continent. In a unique position due to her nations culture, she rules wisely and fairly unlike her parents before her. Never receiving attention from her biological parents, she was raised alongside her extremely loyal twin vassals and "gems" by the mother and father of the twins. Given as much love as they were allowed to give the princess her early life was happy until a major event changed the three girls lives forever. Other countries envied the power of the only monarchs to hold the mysterious power of "gems" and constantly vied for young heirs and their vassals. Due to the neglect of her parents, Jade became an easy target due to lack of proper protection. She was kidnapped and forced to use her powers to fight as an assassin starting at the age of 9. Afraid of her captors harming the twins, whom she viewed as her sisters and only family left, she followed all orders and never tried to escape. She also complied to ensure the twins were not made to fight with her. They were only kept alive to maintain the powers shared between them. Constantly fighting with little food or proper rest along with overuse of her powers caused her body to deteriorate slowly and caused her to misstep in a fight losing sight in one eye at 12. This also caused her to stop fighting for a short time making her unable to stop her captors from forcing the twins into battle. With no hope of her parents ever sending help to rescue them, they resigned themselves to their fate and retreated into their minds. Only communicating with the twins through telepathy, Jade stopped talking and showed no emotions. Only speaking and showing vulnerability to her sisters as they did the same. They soon developed the rest of their powers giving them control over darkness and shadows, advanced telepathy, and control of the wind. Each gaining a power and sharing with the other two. They hid these powers from their captors, deceiving them into thinking their abilities was an enhancement of their physical abilities. As her parents only cared for their child as a means of appearances and the necessity of an heir, they did not care what happened to what they viewed as a replaceable child only sending one search team with no resources from the royal family as to not disrupt their reputation. Thankfully the captain of the team loved Jade and refused to give up the search. After hearing of an unkillable assassin with the power of darkness and seemingly 3 forms, he believed it could be the three missing girls, much to his dismay. He eventually found and was able to rescue them on their 16th birthday. Afterwards, Jade returned home and slowly began recovering from her ordeal. She did however suffer from some long-lasting effects due to her trauma. Although she was able to gain back some ability to speak aloud after some time and intense therapy, she rarely spoke aloud unless it was extremely important and with someone she trusted deeply. Most communication was done through telepathy, with the twins speaking on her behalf, this was later viewed with respect among the commoners. Mistaken as a worthy monarch only directly speaking to her people when necessary and allowing the twin to gain even more regard as gems. Those who knew them learned to tell the twins words apart from Jade's through their eyes, which glowed a bright yellow when they used their telepathy. Having remarkable skills and fighting capability, the only thing her parents did Apon her return is send a messenger informing her she would be named captain of the guard. She was also told never to shine light on the incident and say her years missing were due to becoming ill and going to a foreign academy to study and recover in peace. The twins' parents were delighted to see them return but died soon after when they were 17. .On her 18th birthday a large celebration was held as she had become of age. While on patrol before the party began a rebel group from a foreign nation took advantage of the large occasion and attempted to overthrow the castle. Due to her assassin skills, Jade and the twins quickly arrived at the castle and contained the rebels in the ballroom and climbed to the rafters to assist and spy on the rebel leaders who had cornered the king and queen in the throne room. Full of pride the monarchs refused to kneel and somehow sensing their child ordered her to take their lives before the rebels could. Jade dropped down and ended her own parents lives then overtook the rebel group capturing the leaders. Soon after the rebels were tried and executed for the murders of the former monarchs and several of the high nobility Jade was crowned queen and began to rule Despite being only 19 she was wise and easily expanded the domain with almost no casualties. Loved by both commoners and nobility the kingdom became peaceful and soon grew into an empire. In just a year she became an empress and continued to later gather 3 more gems and raised an adopted daughter. The child was found while on patrol by siblings on the day of the rebellion. The child's parents had died shortly after the baby was born due to rouge rebels attacking commoners before the assault on the castle to create chaos. Deciding to raise her to ensure her safety from the political unrest after the attack, Jade brought her to the side castle and cared for her naming the baby girl Alice. Soon the child would become the fourth gem and heir to the throne as well as the only gem in history to become a monarch themselves.

General Physical Condition

Muscular and strong due to a life of physical training and fighting but always slightly malnourished due to overwork and lack of sleep due to frequent nightmares. Also blind in the left eye causing long migraines and pain in the eye as well as a visible scar.

Body Features

She has a slender frame and strong muscles. A slim face and a beautiful physique. Long arms while not being lanky and a medium chest/bust size. Long legs.

Facial Features

A slender face with piercing electric blue eyes and jet-black hair that perfectly frame her face. She has bangs to help cover the scar over her left eye and a constantly cold yet neutral expression. Her hair is almost always either in a high ponytail when fighting, on patrol, or on missions and flowing down her back when doing normal duties, dealing with politics, or alone with the twins and Alice.

Special abilities

She can use telepathy, control shadows and darkness, and control the wind. These abilities come from the power shared between her and her gems. They also frequently use the ability of shadows combined with the control of wind to "teleport" and hear from far distances.

Apparel & Accessories

A hidden locket with pictures of the twins and Alice as well as poison in case of emergencies.

She always carries her sword and hidden daggers that can be used in close combat or for throwing. She also carries a vial of poison in a hidden compartment of her locket. And she carries equipment needed for assassinations or spy work when on missions.

First receiving traditional training for royals including politics, sciences, ethics, swordplay, foreign languages, geography, arithmetic, warfare, battle strategy and tactics, etc. Jade also received training in "loyalty" as to help strengthen the bonds between herself and her gems, and survival skills from her adoptive parents who knew she could be in danger due to the lack of protection from her biological parents. After she was abducted, she was forced to learn the art of assassination and combat. She was also made to learn cooking to feed herself and disguise for blending in during missions. She also learned how to control her powers. Later after returning to the palace, she was instructed on how to command and utilize an army as a commander and leadership skills as the crown princess.

Employment

She was announced as the crown princess when she turned 3 and remained the sole heir. She became an assassin at 9 until she was rescued at 16. Resuming her duties as crown princess she was also given the title of army commander leading troops into battle from 16 to 18 as well as patrolling the streets of the capitals and other lands and domains across the country. After the rebellion on her coming-of-age ceremony at 18 she became Queen and due to her great leadership soon was able to declare herself empress at 19.

Accomplishments & Achievements

She became a world-renowned assassin although she was forced to and was never proud of it, she never once failed her missions. Afterwards, she became a competent army commander and became beloved by the citizens for her compassion and care she showed during patrols. Her rulership as monarch was excellent and she was able to expand her kingdom into an empire without much bloodshed or war.

She was never able to gain the affection of her parents which although was not her fault, she viewed as a personal failure. She is not able to show genuine emotion outwardly but is still able to provide care and compassion even with an icy expression those close to her know to look past.

Mental Trauma

During her abduction, Jade was forced to kill to keep her siblings safe which caused her to become extremely protective of the twins and later her adopted daughter. Although this is not apparent at first glance as they still regularly join her in battle as Jade knows they are capable of defending themselves and does not feel the need to shield them from fighting. This overprotection comes in the form of distance as the three cannot be separated at a distance for long or panic sets in. She also has a hard time expressing emotion and can often come off as icy or cold due to her facial expression. She frequently has nightmares and can't be in a room with a single person without one of the twins present as it brings up memories of being separated and trapped alone with her captors. She is also extremely loyal to those she loves and trusts due to the neglect she received from her own parents.

Extremely wise and firm on her believes, Jade has an extremely high iq and is fiercely loyal to her loved ones. She is also highly competent in battle tactics and politics however she has some trouble when it comes to the advancement of culture and the arts due to her isolation in the most important time in her life. This does not however, stop her from trying to advance this aspect of her empire for the sake of the citizens with the help of her close aids and noble vassals

Although okay with killing and war, she tries to avoid it as much as possible as to try and minimize the damage caused. Preferring simple assassinations to minimize civilian death and effects of all-out war. She is always concerned for the wellbeing of her people and maintains their happiness as a top priority viewing it as her duty as repayment for the love, they give her as their leader and the trust they place in her to take care of their lives, families, and homes.

Taboos

Mention of her parents in the way their relationship to Jade can be a touchy subject as most do not know of the true way she was treated. Few know that the few times the "family" were seen together were simply staged to keep up an appearance and that the long years she was not seen was due to a kidnapping and not her attendance at a foreign school.

Due to her trauma she became unable to become picky over simple things like food, but she does prefer darker clothing and simple styles that are easier to move in such as a half dress with pants and combat boots. She also loves the twins and Alice and is constantly with them.

She is unable to be separated from the twins for long periods of time or her trauma creates extreme emotional distress and total shut down except for in extremely rare circumstances.

At first glance Jade comes off as cold and icy but once you get to know her you begin to see that although not good at expressing herself and how she feels she is compassionate and caring. She is responsible and love the people of her empire. She knows her strengths and is not afraid to utilize them as well as ask for help when the need arises.

Calm and collected with an icy aura surrounding her. Despite that she is kind and fair and exactly the way a ruler should be with perfect manners and the confidence of a lioness.

Speech

A sharp voice that can pierce through anyone if she wants to intimidate but normally soft yet confident. She does not come off as shy or compliant despite the soft tone and also only speaks when necessary, giving off a regal air. Hearing her voice feels like an honor as you feel like each word is of importance and meaning. When she chooses not to speak the twins communicate her words. They normally know what she wishes to say through a simple glance as their strong bond allows but, if necessary, they can also communicate through telepathy as well.
