Harrison Armory

Harrison Armory is one of the Big Three corpro-states in Union, founded by Admiral John Creighton Harrison after he fled the aftermath of the Hercynian Crisis. Harrison Armory is headquarted on the tidally-locked Ras Shamra, originally a GMS Special Project World. Harrison Armory provided a safe haven for Second Committee exiles fleeing justice after the revolution in the late 4500s, and remains a hotbed of Second Committee and otherwise anthrochauvanist organizing to this day.   Harrison Armory is explicitly expansionist, and their goals have led to both the First and Second Interest Wars when they have run up against the Karrakin Trade Baronies. The Armory is also notorious for its practice of extensive resource extraction with little to no regard for biospheres, which inevitably leads to conflicts both on worlds they annex and even those they settle themselves. To deal with this, the Armory maintains a heavily militarized and infamously brutal police force, though the Armory's public affairs office is always quick to assert that everything their police do is justified and well within the letter of their law.   The Armory's product line reflects their solely military focus, known for their highly resilient engineering. Weapons, ammunition, ordnance, and ground and aerospace craft--all are the purview of the Armory, and all are thoroughly field-tested on Ras Shamra's unforgiving landscapes.
Ras Shamra is a carbon-rich planet in the Canaan system, nestled close against a K1 V star. Surface temperatures range from 130° F on the day side to the -10° F on the night side. Ras Shamra's settled area straddles the two, with a large metroswathe ringing the planet. The air is not breathable by humans, but plants, where they are not scorched or frozen, thrive in it, owing to the extremely high carbon dioxide content. Using these plants to eventually change the atmosphere to a breathable one is an ongoing Armory project.
