Dwarven Clans

Although many Clans have been formed throughout the history of Novysvet, only five managed to withstand the trial of time and are worthy of being listed.

Blauaxt Clan

The Dwarves of Blauaxt Clan wear blue marks and are famous for their skill in smithing axes. Being made out of an special alloy, Bluesteel, these vary from small throwing axes to big two handed battle axes. However only the strongest and most honored warriors are allowed to wield such weapons and only the most talented and skilled smiths are allowed to use the special alloy for their projects.

Eisblume Clan

The Dwarves of the Eisblume Clan wear white marks and are known as the finest brewers in Novysvet. Although it has not changed in the last couple thousand years, the recipee for their signature Iceflower Ale remains the probably best guarded secret in the world. According to a special law, only he who manages to beat the current Brewmaster in a drinking contest may learn the secret formula.

Grunamboss Clan

The Dwarves of Grunamboss Clan wear green marks and are known for their extraordinary machines and tools. From fine jewelers tools to complex crossbows to gigantic excavation machines the talented engineers and builders can produce almost anything that one can imagine. Scholars from all over Novysvet seek education at the excellent Technical University of Monktown but only the best of the best are admitted and from those only the smartest and most ambitious have a realistic change to graduate.

Reißzahn Clan

Aggressive, cruel and fast to strike are the black marked Dwarves of Reißzahn Clan. Despite their bandit like reputation they keep to a strict code of honor and would never kill an opponent without a proper fight. Only the bravest and strongest warriors are allowed in the Clan, hence being born as a Reißzahn does not automatically make you a Reißzahn. Due to their rather primitive way of life, these Dwarves are not often seen living in cities as they prefer to build small camps high in the mountains of the Poradsnyh Islands.

Rothammer Clan

Descendants of the famous Dwarven King Ulryk of Rothammer Clan these dwarves wear red marks, are very stubborn and known for their sense for gold. Thus it is no surprise they make for great merchants and miners. They control the ports and mines of the Poradsnyh Islands and with that decide over the resource prices in almost all of Novysvet.
