The Raven Regiment

Formed out of the remnants of the various combat forces at the end of the Centurion War, the Raven Regiment first marketed themselves as personal protection for wealthy travelers and noblemen. As the Commonwealth was rebuilt and the hostilities between nations died down, the Raven Regiment became a unit of hired troops for private businessmen, as well as statesmen and ministers, as the Commonwealth Accord prevented individual nations from maintaining a standing army. As could be expected, the actions of the Raven Regiment came under scrutiny by government officials, as some of their tactics were seen as unsavory, and even illegal in some cases.
Currently, the Raven Regiment are available (through the right channels) as thugs and mercenaries for hire. They are reputed to be able to take any job, and do any deed, for the right price.

Structure

As the name suggests, the Raven Regiment has oranized itself after the military units that it was once formed from. The unit is led by a Commander and his retinue of Captains, and the unit is further broken up into companies of between 20-100 troops, each led by a Captain or Lieutenant. Companies also have an internal command structure, where squads of 5-20 Troops are led by a Sergeant.
