Lysander Tristan

Lysander Tristan was born in Haven in 1439. Showing brilliant understanding of mechanical devices even at a young age, Tristan was apprenticed to a steam engine Technologist at the age of 6. Quickly outstripping the teachings of his master, Tristan was sent to the University at Barrockstadt in 1447. It was while he was studying at the University that he developed the technology that would become the first Tristan Generator. He quickly left the University after this, and returned for Haven seeking assistance to develop the technology.
In 1450, Tristan combined the power generation of steam engines with his capacitor technology, and the Tristan Generator was born. Technologists marveled at the new technology, and Tristan's wealth and fame grew at an exponential rate. Tristan Enterprises was founded in 1451, and the development of Tristan technology was accelerated. Lysander Tristan enjoyed the public spotlight, giving speeches and traveling the Commonwealth to make public appearances, when he could be pulled away from his workshop.
In 1477, at the behest of a military contractor, Lysander Tristan began work on a new weapons system, and in 1480, the first Tristan Cannon was unveiled to military leaders and the Ministry Council. After a test in the Hallowed Hills, the leaders of the Commonwealth nations began funneling money into Tristan Enterprises to develop the weapon further.
After the test, however, Tristan's demeanor changed. The normally charismatic and outgoing inventor seemed to become darkened, irritable, and sullen. As Tristan Enterprises began to further develop the Tristan weaponry, Lysander Tristan retreated from the public spotlight, and locked himself in his workshop.
It has been years since Tristan withdrew, and very few people, including employees of Tristan Enterprises, have claimed to have seen him since.
