Not Another Fantasy Wasteland

The apocalypse finally happened! More than one, actually. All of them, for that matter. Every end of the world mankind has ever thought to predict and then some - alien invasion, nuclear war, Biblical end of days, zombie outbreak, you name it - happened, and all at roughly the same time.   You'd think that would spell a final doom for humanity and the Earth, but the collective events of what came to be known as The Crash actually ended up canceling each other out to the point that mankind and the planet were able to survive and dig themselves up out of the rubble thereafter. There was a lot of cleanup to be done, of course, but with nothing looming up on the horizon (probably) there's all the time in the world to get it done.   Life on Earth is different now, of course. Technology is both much rarer and more advanced (and terrifying) than it ever was before. Aliens walk among us, and some weirder things besides. There are monsters lurking in the dark, and a war between what remains of civilization brewing in the shadows. Oh, and there are dragons now, sometimes.   Welcome to the wasteland!
