Ileyra

Born and raised in the distant and remote mountains of Norn, Ileyra was taught the survive off the land from a young age. Her culture imprinted an appreciation and holiness to the land and sky. She heard the voices of the mountains call to hear and would journey to their peaks to listen to them. After ascending the tallest peak she was granted powers and gifts by the voices of the mountain and the sky.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

She stands at 5' 3 but is not skinny. Life in the mountains has molded her into a strong physical condition. Her muscle is dense and compact, from a life of living on relatively meager food supplies.

Facial Features

She has a round facial shape with thick eyebrows. Her eyes are a deep violet and they have epicanthic folds.

Identifying Characteristics

She has a quite large set of scars across her left abdomen. They are from a time she was attacked by a mountain bear while assisting in hunting and foraging for food.

Physical quirks

While she is a half-elf, her ears show very little resemblance to those of elves or even other half-elves. They have a slight point but that is usually concealed by her hair.

Apparel & Accessories

Her base layer consists of a pair of tight navy-blue/purple leggings and a tightly fitted wrap of the same color with long sleeves. Over this, she wears dark grey winter boots. Over the wrap she wears a vest of the same coloring, it reaches down below her waist and buttons up the middle. The buttons are white along with the thin fur trimming around the edges of the vest. Her waist is wrapped with a thick dark leather belt that has many pouches and items attached. She has a pair of dark grey gloves. Over this all she wears a large hooded cloak. The cloak is the same dark grey material with a white fur trimming. The interior of the cloak is a dark navy-blue/purple color.

Personal history

Ileyra was born and raised in a distant community that lived in the high and remote mountains. Living in high rugged conditions she was raised to respect the land and in some ways worship it. At a young age, she began to hear faint distant voices whispering to her in an ancient language. She later discovered these were the voices of the mountains calling her. She traveled to the peaks of these mountains to hear them. This lead her to the beauty of the night sky. Being so high and remote the sky was a vast tapestry with uncountable stars. She spent many nights staring at the heavens and became heavily invested in her culture's study and worship of the stars. Eventually, she was called to the tallest mountain. at its peak, she heard the voices of the sky and mountains clearer than ever. There they revealed to her a mystical chart of the sky. The voices blessed her with ancient abilities of cosmos.

Education

She was educated through the communal efforts of her community. As such she has no "formal" education. She was mainly instructed in methods of surviving in the harsh environment that she lived in. Specific instruction was given to the geography of the region. Additionally, significant time was devoted to studying the night sky. With dozens of constellations, myths, patterns, and other lessons being memorized.

Morality & Philosophy

Ileyra has what many would call a grim outlook on the world. She was instructed on the circle of life and the importance of balance. In her eyes, death is a crucial and necessary part of life. Nature itself is very violent at times and so bloodshed is something that she can understand the value of occasionally. While she is okay with the concepts of death, she does appreciate life and encourages growth.

High society would not approve of her general cleanliness, baths are hard to come by on the slopes of mountains. She is cleaner than most she grew up with, however.
