Snowbank

Snowbank is a relatively small town in the Far North. It rests in-between the smaller foothills of a mountainous region. The town is primarily human. The most influential group in the town is by far the Church of Auril. The head of the church, and therefore one of the most influential people in the town, is Deacon Barrister. Among other influential figures are the captain of the town guard, Thane, and the head of the Farmer's Union, Lousia.   The town is fairly conservative and is cautious of outsiders, especially non-human outsiders. Though not necessarily ill-intending, the townsfolk are often uncomfortable dealing with other species, especially the less human appearing ones such as Teifling and Dragonborn.

Demographics

Almost entirely human. Traveling merchants occasionally consist of half-elves and dwarves, but rare.

Government

The town council is the only form of government present in Snowbank. It is a mostly informal system to settle disputes that may arise. They loosely oversee the town guard who operates mostly autonomously.

Defences

Armed and trained town guard with barracks near the center of town. The town guard's main order of business is defending the town and maintaining order.

Industry & Trade

Snowbank is started as a small farming community that grew beyond its root due to its fertile land in it's colder Nothern climate. Snowbank is known to have good harvests and as such as become in recent years a small trading outpost in the Far North.
