Ranae

The Ranae are the enthusiastic shock troops of the Electi also known as Ørçit, who have happily engaged their warrior culture to fight for the Imperium Electi. Formerly, the Ranae were competitive, hierarchical tribes living in the marshes of what would become the coasts of Ørçit but when they were brought under Ørçit control, they happily took their institution of sacrificial violence and war to the frontlines in Ørçit campaigns. The toad-like Ranae are masters of combat and magic, often overcoming huge opponents on the battlefield with reckless bloodlust. They fit well in the highly ordered Electi, with their native social system well matched to their society. Magic users among them tend to be focused on war magics, mostly as clerics to their war god, Nergal.
