Ibrida

The Ibrida are a critical part of Electi, or Ørçit, military power. The Ibrida are the triumph of Materiae science. By combining humans with undersea creatures, the Materiae created a species of humanoids with unique features that optimize them for combat in most environments. For the most part, they are the elite soldiers of the Electi and given great latitude for operations, as well as in recreation. They tend to worship sea-based spirits. Some Ibrida are also spies in the Akini Alliance, while a few leave the warfare of the Frontier to make lives for themselves. They often hide their unique gifts if possible, but for some this is difficult if their aquatic parts are too obvious. One or two of these unusual folks has been seen in carnivals of the continent or as part of Changeling Troops.
