Hivefolk

The Hivefolk are a unique and impressive people which develop when swarms of organisms come together and become sentient. Colony insects are the most common form but others do exist. These gestalt beings often live more solitary lives as many individual-based races find them uncanny and terrifying. Despite this, most Hivefolk are very wise, kind and gentle unless attacked. They are often insatiably curious and have an aptitude for natural magics such as ranging, druidry and sorcery wild magic. Most live in the far West but some do live in other places such as Prynamia. Hivefolk tend to form found family among accepting other races and very rarely spend significant time with others of their kind. These is however one settlement in Lanigerra where they represent the majority population.
