Gnoll

A large, humanoid species that looks like very muscular bipedal hyenas. They were created by eating the scraps of the gods when Cronus devoured his children. These hyenas would evolve into Gnolls who were defined by their hunger and savagery until given normal stomachs by Phthisis and Isis. The Gnolls worship these two as goddesses of family, life and food while worshipping Cronus as defining the more aggressive characteristics of the Gnolls, namely: hunger, combat, anger, cannibalism, and hunting. Gnolls, like regular Hyenas, are matriarchal with females being dominant and larger than males. They form packs who live together and are generally nomadic. While often bandits, some do venture into to other socities and integrate successfully.
