History

The Butaishi were organized 100 years ago by Shogun Abe no Sentaro to explore, scout and spy on overseas assets. Over time 15 such squads were made but the Butaishi are the first, and bear that name with no modifier. They are the eyes of the Ran Bakufu abroad and operate alongside as well as independently of diplomats. Their primary goal is to eliminate threats to the Empire and take assets back.

Made up of Ran Humans, Tengu, Tanuki and Kitsune Faeries, and Changelings.

Military

Highly trained assassins, spies and infiltrators raised from young adulthood in special schools and selected amongst the best of those schools.

No mandated religion for any Butaishi members.
