Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Maigo is a tall, lean, human female. She is athletic in build with sharper features. She is known to smoke a particularly potent drug that ostensibly has a calming effect, though this does not seem to impair her in combat (verbal or otherwise).
Body Features
She has black hair and darker tan skin.
Facial Features
Generally somewhat angled features, narrower eyes. Her facial expression visually softens however when she is comfortable or caught off guard.
Identifying Characteristics
Her left arm has tattoos running down its length that feature everything from blue tinged forests, to the sea, and sunflowers and foxes in a typical vibrant, Japanese style. While the tattoos were stylized after people and places, the designs have been worked around dual black bands that mark her shoulder, elbow, and wrist where elvish symbols have been inscribed. The bands denote her status as property and part of the slave trade from the region surrounding the Jeweled Coast.
Physical quirks
She smokes periodically. While she is aggressive in attitude, she bows her head and disengages from conversation when hurt or uncertain.
Special abilities
Maigo has a knack for stealth -- most of her combat is kept at a distance, from which she engages in hidden strikes and support employing Sneak Attack.
While rare, Maigo has a secondary form where she exudes necrotic energy. In this state, her eyes turn a deep, jet black, and the surface of her skin appears to darken save for bluish lines that spread the length of her body and appear to work up her neck to the edges of her face. From her back, black, skeletal wings appear that are dark ashen in color and themselves have bluish blood vessels and lines that extend the length of them from back to tip of wings. In this state, the harm she causes is experienced as being necrotic, and fallen enemies turn to ask as her weapon passes from their body. Canonically, Maigo does not speak in this form save through the Message cantrip.
Apparel & Accessories
On her torso, she wears a long-sleeve, loose, white linen shirt that is tied close just below the neck line with siken ties at the wrists. Over her white linen blouse wears a colorful, high-collared, half-vest that triangulates at the front and wraps around her back to mid spine. The sleeves of the vest are loose, and tied at the elbows. Each side of her shoulder features a diamond inscribed with a circle. The chest portion of the bust is dark grey (gunmetal) with detailed blue vine like designs covering the whole body, and detailed with gold flecks on the leaves with a trim of gold around the collar and bust. The sleeves are white in color and tied at the elbow. Under her vest, Maigo has a colorful scarf that is deep blue in color and marked with gold and purple vine designs -- a keepsake that she has worn since her time in The Jeweled Coast.
Across her chest, Maigo carries a leather satchel that sits on her left hip. She carries some small personal effects that she has collects on her travels including samples or items taken from fallen enemies. These items are pressed between a simple black book that doubles as her personal journal.
Maigo's bolts are slung in a quiver that is held by a band across her chest, but lies against her lower back in a horizontal fashion.
Around her hips, Maigo wears a loose fitted leather belt that matches her vest -- gunmetal with a gold and orange lining. On her right side, tied through the belt, she has a colorful scarf that is deep blue in color and lined with a mix of geometric and natural (leaves/vines) patterns that matches the one around her neck. Around her hips she has a loose fitted linen skirt that is lined in geometric designs similar to those on her upper sleeves. The cut is slightly angled at the front and falls around in layers to split tails at her back. The skirt is made of a heavier material that prevents extensive movement during motion, but provides the slightest bit of movement that matches her general sway when she walks. Under her skirt, Maigo wears form fitted black pants with inverted diagonal designs going down the front of her thighs and her pant legs are always tucked neatly into dark, black leather riding boots that have matching gold buckles at the top, mid and bottom of her boots. At the back, there is a simple black tie that is tied into a loose bow that holds the top of her boots together.
Specialized Equipment
Maigo carries two Kama, though she characteristically only uses one at a time, if ever. She carries a short Elven curved sword, and a crossbow. Though she prefers to strike at a distance, Maigo has been known to leave cover and enter the fray directly if the situation calls for it, though this is very selective and seldom taken as a viable option.
Under her skirts, hidden from view, Maigo has a small pouch that is strapped to her leg where she carries personal items. Among them is a small, black, book with no title. The inside contains small passages written in a language known to Maigo. Each entry details a vivid description of her dreamsKnown by Ellie, including the arrival of Nel.

Aoki Maigo was raised in the Elven kingdom. She eventually went on to live and work out of the Jeweled Coast where she was captured and taken prior to joining the Usual Suspects.

Maigo is highly deceptive, and her more trickster nature has given her a lot of practice in slight of hand. Maigo is an avid reader which has given her some knowledge of history while her more solitary nature draws her to nature as well providing a unique perspective on the natural realm. Her time in the city and forests have also come together to make her moderately athletic -- a complement to her generally dexterous nature.

For all of her outwardly projected strength, Maigo is highly fearful, mistrusting, and arguably cowardly -- her insecurities and inability to handle her emotions often make her bitter and vengeful leading to fits of aggression and instability.

Maigo is rash, but arguably thoughtful. She is often quick to ask after others, turning the conversation away from herself. In social settings, she is quick to offer cigarettes and drinks to others, though she herself cannot hold a lot of liquor and in comfortable environments often loses track of how many drinks she has had.
Hobbies & Pets
Since early in the campaign she has kept close to her familiar, Nel -- a black fox with a blue sheen. Nel arrived at Maigo's side in the Hillgiant Inn, the night following the fight at Yorik's temple with the Rust Bomber. Since Nel's arrival, Maigo has gradually learned that she can see through Nel's eyes and has since formed a tight bond with him. They have since grown close, with Nel seldom leaving Maigo's side. Nel, canonically, wears a blue scarf and blue mittens to protect his foot pads from the cold though members from the Usual Suspects have not yet confirmed whether or not this is something he necessarily agrees with.
Maigo keeps a daily journal where she writes entries describing the daily events. Periodically she sketches in this journal as well -- with varied levels of quality.
