Two-hundred years ago gnomes discovered a magical element, capable of making even the heaviest objects fly. It was called "Aer" and it changed the world forever.   Aer allowed to create flying ships and floating cities, and thus began the Conquest of the Sky, a great period of exploration and technological and magical developement.   As more and more people started using Aer, a thick, dark mist raised frome the ground. Mysterious and dangerous creatures hid in this fog, attacking everyone who was left on the surface, and forcing them to leave.   The Mist never stopped rising and now reaches the lowests of the floating cities. Sky travel has become more dangerous and many fear the time when the fog will reach their new homes.   A legend speaks of a fabulous land somewhere in the sky, far away from the Mist. A safe place, an holy place, where nature thrives and life continues as it was before people left the surface.
