Warforged
The Warforged were created by the Dwarves, whom they revere as their creators and kin. Though programmed to follow orders, the warforged' true strength lie in their intelligence. They were given emotion, reason, and thought, though the method of how this was done was lost to time. When combined with their adaptable living armor bodies, they made for a fighting force almost unmatched by any. Though created for war and protection, the care and kindness their dwarven kin treat them with is almost akin to that of family. When it comes to fighting, however, there is little empathy for those on the other ends of a warforged weapon. This was shown to the young Kaitor Empire, though they were the first force that proved a challenge for the warforged. After the Empire's victory at the Broken City, the eternal warforged became guardians of the empire, reconditioned to protect Dragonborn as well. Centuries later, when the orcs were encountered, the warforged encountered the second foe that proved a true challenge, though this one drove the warforged to the brink of extinction. If it wasn't for the miracle of Keros, the leader of the Ancient Dragon Knights there is a chance the remaining warforged would not have survived this final battle of desperation. Though unfortunately the outcome of the battle didn't change the outcome of the warforged by much. Once the orcs were adopted to be the protectors of the Empire, over time the remaining warforged were decommissioned and sent to vast dwarven vaults deep underground, never to be seen again. It has been over a millennia since anyone in the Empire has seen a warforged, but all have heard of the fabled and valiant guardians of the Empire.
There are rumors, however that a warforged was one of those leading the defense of Redclaw Keep against the traitorous forces of the Drakwelds.
