Hierarchs

The Great Houses of the Dragonborn follow a strict organizational structure heralded by the Hierarch. These Hierarchs are those in the family with the greatest power, strongest bloodline, and broadest influence. They are responsible for representing their house throughout the Empire both on the battlefield and in council. Answered to by five @[Deacons], Hierarchs ensure the order of the Empress is maintained in their territory.
Each year, the Empress calls the Assembly of Hierarchs where she selects ten Hierarchs to directly carry out her will and become @[Chosen Hierarchs]. Many Dragonborn spend their lives seeking this honor, but very few receive it.
