Goblins (gohb-linn)

//Alternative names; Imps and Hobgoblins//

Basic Information

Anatomy

Goblins are a short, wrinkly skinned race that have proportionally large heads, feet, and hands. Their limbs are comparatively longer than a human's, and they are digitigrade, further making their legs look long.   A Goblin's skin, which is often covered in freckles or moles, comes in a variety of browns, golds, tans, reds, greens, and light blues. Their teeth are sharp and crooked, peeking out from a wide mouth. Their eyes are yellowed and come in a rainbow of colors and have vertical beaded pupils, while their brows jut out above their eye sockets. Goblin's noses are variable, ranging from greatly protruding to flat against their face. The shape of a Goblin's nose also ranges from bulbous to triangular, and are often very thick in both depth and width. Meanwhile, Goblin's ears are pointed, but floppy, sticking out horizontally from their heads. Their earlobes are floppy and large, as well.

Darkvision

once upon a time in their evolutionary history, Goblins lived nocturnally. They have since adapted more to the life of other diurnal races, but their eyes are still excellent with the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Trickster's Swap

What a Goblin wants, a Goblin gets. Even if it's through magical means. Once per day, you may magically swap an item in your possession with an item of similar size that is within 15 feet of you and within eyesight. This is restored after a long rest. Beware of consequences, however, as if you are attempting to swap for a possession of another creature to steal it, they must make a Perception check of a difficulty determined by the DM. If they succeed, you may have to deal with their anger at your theft, as goblins are often known for their trickery.

Fowl Fairfolk

Despite their relation to kinder natured Gnomes and Brownies, among other Fair Folks, Goblins have gained a reputation for their love of mischief and trickery. You may chose to have Proficiency in two of the following: Deception, Insight, Persuasion, Sleight of Hand, or Stealth

Languages. Common, Gibb
