Background

Serena Ramirez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. When she was 2, her family moved to Gothamopolis because her dad had a job offer there. And while there, two important moments in Serena's life would happen.

The first moment was one her parents could have seen coming. When she was 6, Serena was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. She adapted to this well.

The second moment was one her parents couldn't have seen coming. When she was 12, Serena was witness to the final battle between the now-defunct supervillain team The Four Horsemen and The Junior Supes of Gothamopolis. Magix had opened a portal to the Jail Dimension, and every member but Pestilence had already been sucked up. After Pestilence realized his days were numbered, he unleashed a blast of every disease known to sapience, and fired it at Serena to give her his powers.

After being hit, Serena immediately collapsed and started coughing her lungs out (metaphorically). She was quickly taken to the hospital, where she spent the next few months. As her infection progressed, Serena's fat stores and pigmentation were worn away at, turning her ghostly white and skeletally thin.

Luckily, Serena survived. After her big brother, Rodrigo, told her she could use a villain's powers for good, Serena resolved to drive Pestilence crazy, and became Enferma, from the Spanish for “sick”.

Personality

Serena has autism. This means she has trouble with social interactions, has easily overloaded senses, has a hard time controlling her emotions, and needs order and routine in her life. On the plus side, she's a very nice person, and would do nearly anything for her fellow students, who see her as a precious little churro who must be protected at all costs. She's also very worried about making her friends sick with her powers.

Powers

Serena's body hosts samples of every disease known to sapience, and she can give them to anyone by shooting a cloud of disease from her palms. She is immune to this cloud.

Appearance

Serena is 5'4”, has snow white skin with pink stripes, thick pink curls tied back into two small puffs for hair, and is so skinny, you can see her ribcage through her costume. Said costume is just a raspberry leotard.
